Banana Bread Recipe (12m+):

Ingredients:

– 4 ripe medium bananas
– 2 cups whole wheat flour/ all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon(optional)
– A pinch of salt
– 3 tbsp honey(optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher.
3. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and honey (optional) to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40+ minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

* You can add some blueberries or unsweetened chocolate chips to the banana bread to richer the flavour.

Note

Oven baking times may vary, so keep an eye on your banana bread as it bakes. Check for doneness starting around 30 minutes and adjust accordingly.
