Pumpkin Soup

1/2 small pumpkin, peeled and chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1/4 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
Directions
Sauté onion and garlic with butter in a pot until softened.
Add chopped pumpkin and broth, bring to boil and then reduce heat and simmer until pumpkin is tender (15-20 min).
Blend the soup until smooth with a hand-held blender or food processor.
Return soup to pot and add milk. Heat until warm but not boiling. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve warm with bread or crackers.
