Banana Chocolate Marble Cake (24m+)

Ingredients:

• 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
• ¾ teaspoon baking soda
• ¾ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas (from 2-3 bananas)
• ½ cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ½ cup semisweet dark chocolate chips
• 2 teaspoons natural unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a pan generously with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a bowl, mix the eggs, mashed banana, melted butter, vanilla, and milk until well combined.
3. Add the flour, baking soda, salt to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
4. Melt the chocolate chips, stir until smooth, and then add the cocoa powder, stirring until dissolved.
5. Add 4-5 tablespoons of the banana bread batter to the melted chocolate and stir until well combined.
6. Spoon the plain batter and chocolate batter alternately into the prepared pan. Swirl the batters together with a knife or chopstick.
7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
8. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes, then remove the cake from the pan and set it on the wire rack to cool completely.
